I love this strip. I was able to kill a cloaked spy as a spy simply because I kept seeing his halo when he was cloaked.

I learned the easy way...... as pyro, seeing a hovering halo...... that burst so nicely into flames soon after.

Not really, it follows you when you cloak. If you disguise with a halo, your halo will stay at your head. At the first time, it looks cool because people usually dont spycheck people with hats, but if you look better, the halo glows less than the normal one. 

Last time I checked, the Halo fades out where you die or cloak, so if you move after cloaking it doesn't follow you.

Some people like getting spotted as scout. It depends on your playstyle.
Also, Soldier and Engie look way cooler with halos on.

I sometimes use the Halo on my Spy on purpose, for just that reason. Topped a Pipeline match, with 30 points more than the second place person, spying with the halo.

Sad to admit, but I had to learn that the hard way... *sigh*. =p

Naturally, only amateurs and fools wear the infernal halo when trying to slip through the enemy's lines. RED Spah, you are one such fool.

Them halos be nuthin' but trouble, I tell ya'. I went and put on a halo, an' everyone could see mah baldin head!  I tells ya, I just do not look good in a halo.
Soldiers and snipers look somethin' awful in 'em too, not to mention they're like "kill me" beacons for them snipers.

Hah, fortunately, I noticed that before trying to play a spy, so I didn't add the halo hat. Unfortunatelly, I suck as spy...

Halos are best reserved for Medics and Pyros. Think about it =D

You don't wear a halo when you don,t want to be spotted.
Wich include : Spy, Sniper and Scout.
Or because they're really ugly with it...

Hard mode is actually running around on a mic spam server playing the musics.
A Floating ! bubble is more obvious than the dimmed Halo.
I would say it was Medium mode, at best.

To Reader:
I think servers banning for halos or no halos isn't quite the same thing as advising spies against halos due to cloak bug.  The key differance between the two acts I think would probably be level of stupidity.  The first is about as stupid as your post, the second, not so much...

But didn't you just state about you being unhappy that people were turning off halos on servers, and now your telling people to not use theirs? Isn't that a tad hypocritical? I mean yea, it does make them easy targets, but that doesn't mean you should tell them what they can or can't do.

I have been giving any spy that I ran into helpful advise on this.  Even if the spy was on the other team (after killing him though :)  ).
