There was a time I lacked skill but had time, so MMORPGs appeal to me because if you invested your time on it, you could achieve virtual fame and glory.
I like to think my skills improved but more importantly, my time is precious now so the idea of putting lots of time to get a reward is a no-no. The epic carrot simply isn't tasty for me anymore.
A big part of the lasting appeal of Hat Fortress to me is it's grind-free nature. I know I don't need to run Dustbowl 10 times to get a Rocket Launcher +1. There is no system rewarding me to run some map or mode I don't enjoy.
Hoping Guild Wars 2 will be light on the grind. Very light.
