Set a timer every time you leave the kitchen so this doesn't happen. Gonna go check facebook? Set the heat on medium or low and set the timer for two minutes. When it goes off come back, check it, stir, and set the timer again.

Hey Jo, what's your feelings on Strider? I was just present at the Capcom panel at the San Diego International Comic Con and it looked pretty amazing. I even caught one of the scarfs they threw at the audience.

On a more serious note, soup CAN burn if you let it long enough for the water to evaporate.

No wonder you're so fucking ugly and retarded. You're ENVIOUS of others.

Don't worry Jo, it happened even to my mother... rarely, but happened. ;)
Set timers. Especially ones that annoy the fuck out of you. That way even if you wander off you'll have to come back just to find out wtf is making that noise.

Not a burning situation, but my mother was preparing pancakes and it was a disaster. Nothing burned mind you, but the pancakes were full of... gooey... plastic goop. Turn out, she use a PLASTIC spatula which started to melt on the stove... really... why do we even HAVE plastic spatulas?

It doesn't matter what're you cooking or heating up on the stove: coffee, tea, soup or even a grilled sammich... it never fails, my friends.

Is it possible.
I burned my teapot once.
My sis burned a soup.
Even my mother did once...
My girlfriend used to burn food all the time.
So I bought her a microwave.
She somehow found a way to burn food in that as well...
Kitchen is now off limits to her.

Use a rice cooker, it boils but they are like a toaster, they turn down to the low temp when it is done! I can cook loads with my rice cooker and I can even forget it and not worry about burning. =]

Hahaha. Reminds me of one time, I started some water up to cook pasta, and ended up melting part of the bottom of the pot. I freaked out, and apparently thought I should get the pot to the sink, because next thing I knew, there were droplets of liquid metal burning holes in the flooring. Bad day.

When I was a kid I tried to warm up a cooked egg on the microwave. I thought that it would be OK since it was without the shell... i was wrong, the microwave became coated in pulverized egg.
T

@G Craze I guess you exploded water on the microwave right? If you heat water on the microwave water can heat above the boiling temperature, once the temperature gets too high or a disturbance occurs it explodes.

I dunno why, but I really like how Engine's pretty much her own character these days. I wouldn't mind a minor clothing modification to make her a full-fledged OC, kinda like back in the prior 'Artsy' comic.

I once tried hard boiling eggs extremely late at night. I fell asleep and woke up to the smell of burnt eggs exploded all over the kitchen. Basically all the water boiled away then the eggs exploded somehow.
