Now, if I read the kickstarter page correctly, it'll basically be a classic platformer that takes most stuff from Megaman, but also a few principes and ideas from Kirby(you can get powers by eliminating normal monsters as well).

It's definitely not new, but I like it. Let's see how good it'll be.

I keep seeing people worry about a lawsuit and all that, but has everyone forgotten the old Data East court case with Fighter's History? I doubt CAPCOM wants to open old wounds. It's better for them to just ride on the momentum and try to produce a Megaman - perhaps even try to outsource to them.
