@SteventheSlayer: Disagree. Mutes and Reports are the "community" dealing with it. After-play band aids to cover deeper issues. None of the MOBAs to date have looked at implementing systems to reduce toxicity beforehand, in proactive or passive ways.
@? Platypus : This is easy. Battlenet already uses a hard region lock. In heartstone and sc2 you have to make a new account for access to foreign ladder.

Laughable as f***, how can i have a decent matchmaking on that OTHER GAME(yes, THAT game) 95% of the time. Even Smite bro. SMITE. Explain this, Icefraud.
@Geary: Valve refuses to deal with lots of things, especially on Steam, and expects the "community" do deal with it (or not). It will be interesting to see what Blizzard does once HotS enters an Open beta, or even full release.

you can mute people in dota 2 as well you know, both enemy and allies...
hell, did you guys know, that dragonfist(top MMR in US) muted everyone from the get go to reach that high.
@A5PECT: Jo needs to portray Sniper in a better light. We aren't all a bunch of 360 no-scoping tards. ;-;
And yes, we need moar Pyro. Remember Pyro-tan and Scout-tan? http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/102

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing her more prominently in the strip; she'd be very useful in representing younger gaming demographics.
Makes me wonder if Jo's willing to introduce the thus-far unused classes (scout, sniper, pyro) to fill other representative roles.

@Vilay D. Hanson: Jo refers to her as Mini-Medic. She has yet to receive a proper name, as per the rest of the cast.
See author's note here: http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/1183
She's right. It isn't a casual game. It's a game where your teammates and your enemy team will bitch at you for not knowing how to play on your first match. Cause that's completely reasonable.
Why are people confused as to why I hate the game again?
You can learn a lot from teammates in DotA (there's a reason you can commend people for Teaching, after all). But you have to take it with a grain of salt, because sometimes you'll have a teammate yelling advice at you that is *ass-backward wrong* and sounding totally sure of themselves.
To be fair, it's ridiculously easy to screw up your team in Dota. There's no "feeding" in TF2.
And when you're in a match for at least a half hour, people tend to get upset.

it's a matter of manners, really. The most enjoyable games (my opinion), even with un-balanced skill level whithin a team is when everyone in your team is polite enough to learn and teach. Too bad that too many players doesn't care about politeness...

@MangoMaster4: Even if you are better than others in a game, that doesn't mean that you have to treat people like trash. If you're a pro and have the bad luck to have a newbie team, shit happens. Of course new people should let be taught, but demanding and being mean gets you nowere in these games.
Or sometimes, Jo, people don't need to tryhard and are just much better than you and you should learn to deal with that fact.
This kind of thinking is the retarted school of thought that makes people buy daedalus on razor before boots. Sure it does have some merit but some things are just better.

I hope Mini Medic will be like the other girls (except Engie, rest in sushi) in Jo's house. You know, this comic needs a loli character.
And this is why I don't play games like DOTA or LOL. Nothing turns me away from multiplayer games like having to put up with peoples' bitching, moaning and insults. Hearthstone has the right idea; you get 6 emotes and you can mute people with ease.
