Pfft Jane... I win or I'm out is typical casual behavior. Real gamers try to become better by taking a challenge, not forfeiting it. They also learn the mechanics, experiment a lot and exploit sources of fun within the game that are outside of what the game tells you to do or originally had in mind.
@bg: It's still grindy if you aren't looking for all cards. It's a random element relying primarily on boosters (and dust but that takes forever).
The problem is gamers nowadays just aren't play for fun anymore. Yes HS is grindy if you want all cards, but you are not doing repetitive stuff when you are earning your cards unless you play solitaire decks like miracles. Even without a good collection, there's still fun in making weird decks.
@Ket What. DOTA 2 is 100% free barring cosmetics. In Hearthstone, you still have to grind up a deck. So, unless time is free, there is no way that Hearthstone is more free than DOTA 2.
@Alexander Petrov: Actually, it's just as free, if not more than DOTA.
Unlike DOTA, everything in the game can be obtained free, with relatively little effort(the nax unlocks take slightly longer than packs, but it's definitely not that large of a grind for them).
First time I clicked on a advertising banner, and just because there was an Engie's face. Is it always was here?

WoW player here, check to see which side you want to be on. The Horde is in the highest ranks of PvP and the Aillance is the best in PvE/Raids. Plus I'd say go with a mage with an arcane spec for PvE.
WoW has gotten much much less grindy over the years, excluding the 61-68 range, and even that has been improved some.
Just figured I should mention ^_^
