Tears J0. I hope to see the return of Engie, and if you make a game, I'll buy it. Unless it's bad, like Slaughtering grounds bad. So long as it's not thta bad, it'll be worth it.

Not that it matters but this comic is a bitch to read on Xbox IE because mashtag wants to DL something and xbox refuses any non xbox sponsored DLs.
@Gretha Unterberg: Oh my, what an internet war I've started here. Whoops.
In WoT's defense, any game would be unknown without advertising. Most Blizzard games like SC II, WoW, Hearthstone, and HotS were (and are) being advertised like no tomorrow. WoT is more commonly shared via recommendation.
@Fenbrae: I don't know. I personally don't care for the fanservice (I'm a weird guy), but I do miss Engie and her questionable fashion sense. I feel like the comic was a lot more interesting when it was just Jo and Engie.
I'm not saying its small or insignificant , just not mainstream.
I've never played WoW and yet we can't even hold this conversation without mentioning it, its definitly mainstream. Drop WoT in a conversation with anyone beside those who have played it and you are in need of explaination.
I really wouldn't give a rats ass if this was/is the end of Engie. We got a whole plethora of new girls now and way more of that fanservice everyone likes. All Engie was was a walking piece of fanservice, and that spot is taken by Anne Marie now. Out with the old, in with the new.
@Gretha Unterberg
WoT is 4th most profitable f2p game in the world, bypassing WoW and TF2 combined and has 75 millions registered players. Compare those to 100 millions of WoW accounts to get a sense of scale.
@Gretha Unterberg
EVE is aimed at small. WoT is not. You see the difference between "aimed at fans of rare thing" and "aimed at as wide amount of players as possible"? And if you think it is not known you are mistaken.
Gratz to WoT for creating a new niche in the MMO-market,
but that dosn't make it mainstream.
At least not as long as noone beside its players isn't even aware of its existence :)
@xkcd_386: "open worldMMO and is insanely hardcore ,comparing to session-based "slow Counter-Strike on tanks for casuals".
"niche: aimed at a small specialized group or market"
yep, sounds about right.
@Nerf NOW!!EVE has tiny fraction of WoT players,is an open worldMMO and is insanely hardcore, comparing to session-based "slow Counter-Strike on tanks for casuals".More "niche" would be War Thunder, more realistic,no HP,and vehicles destroyed module by module. So it's more of "wrong genre" not "niche"
@Nerf NOW!!: I'd have to agree with xkcd_386, it's pretty huge, although it's no Dota. Well, if you have time, watch Girls und Panzer. It will change your mind. :P
I know that feeling, as a fellow indie developer, all I can tell her is that you release all the same, damn the haters, and pick up again afterwards. You don't give up. Not unless you aren't enjoying your work I guess, but if you DO enjoy your work, then you keep at it, despite feeling bad about it.
@TeodZero If I hadn't ran out of space I would've said she has, in fact, received more character development during the time she's been "kicked out" than in the boatload of strips she was the supposed main star in. I still can't get myself to miss her much, though.
Uhhh okay this is not how friends handle this situation. Does she want engie dead? Did I miss something?

I foresee Anne sapping her computer... not to destroy it, but to take it over, releasing the game. She knows what's best for Engie. Fear and doubt are not how one succeeds!
It's a shame all the success will go to her head, and she won't need No and crew anymore.
This ending feels pointlessly cruel. If it really ends this way, and isnt a big trolling, all this will result in is alienating a good portion of your fans, and likely lose some of them. Having no game kinda sucks, but killing off Engie is much worse. Especially in a way that defaces her character
We would love to see and play your game
And a lot of us would love to see Engie get back on her feet

so, Engie was once Mary Sue (until tentajo) and now she's back to the role of giving us something that Jo doesn't want for himself?
If that's the case, Jo, just remember every Engie fan is a Jo fan, as well as anyone from the fanbase of every other girl
Learn from the Leader.
If your game ain't good and never will be,
then you don't need more time or a moment of self-reflection.
You need hype, marketing and controversy!
C'mon, right down Anne's alley.

Well, that killed my good feeling.
Feeling kinda sad now, I miss happy Engie -.-
I don't know why people are making such a big fuss about Engie. She was there just to make the jokes work and the occasional fanservice. As I saw it she had no personality at all, the only distinguishing trait of hers I can remember is "bitched at Jo every now and then."
Engie used to be the main star of your comic. I'd be really disappointed if this is how you want to end her. Throwing a tantrum "No, I'll be a hikikomori now."
It wouldn't fit her and it would be a really pathetic end for your ex-mainchar.

I'm not giving up on Engie until Jo changes his twitter avatar :P
@KillerXzow: Engie isn't just one of the TF2 Characters though. She was, up until the new girls showed up, one of the two faces of the comic itself. I mean hell even the Hiveworks image for the comic features Engie and she has been gone for over a year now.
But if there is one thing for me to say, the others TF2 Chars got their happy ending after all. If Jo is retiring engie, he should give her the dignity she deserves, and go out with a bang.
(and even after retiring, chars can appear once in a while for the old times sake)
Im not exactly sure about what Jo is trying doing, but i see 2 possible paths:
1 - This is just a big set up.
2 - Jo is retiring Engie. Come on people, it is not the first time he does that. The Old TF2 Crew: Pyro, Sniper, Demo, Heavy, Spy. All had long stories here, and one day, it ended.

Jo, I don't care if you like Engie or not. I don't care if her Goddamn game work or not. We can help her. I CAN HELP HER! Just brings us her back!
I glad we have now all the girls now, life is more fun. But Engie is not! She is all alone D:

What is the point of all this?! Is there still more to this or is this actually the end of Engie? I seriously hope there is a happy ending to this around the corner otherwise this feels like the final nail in the coffin for Engie.
I wish I had my anti depressants this story arc is going to give me another episode. Sigh. it would help if my brain didnt see Engie as a real person and just as a character. But no for me this is like watching a friend suffer. I should just OD on sleep pills.
