@Clayvman: Yeah, exactly. It's just that one small perverse segment of manga and anime that a lot of people focus on that paints Japan as weird, kind of like how low global math test scores paint America as stupid or how surrendering in World Wars 1 and 2 paint France as cowardly.
I can't tell which is worse. That bowser is running away because he is heart broken that hisprincess is in another castle... or that he knows that if he kidnaps her she will beat him up with ease.
He is a large fire breathing dragon turtle. She usually fights a massive dragon.

To me Samus is the heroine, of my first favourite video game.
I strongly dislike depictions of that new costume and am happy that at least her true colour scheme gets acknowledged.
Even though I wouldn't ask the author to draw her in full armour, I like this compromise.

Wearing a blue peach-dress you're usually drawn with nowerdays online and wearing a proper crown might've done the trick, Samus.
Good luck next time!
Heh, you said about visiting Japan, I had to remember Fora do Normal from Fábio Porchat. Did you see it already Jo? I laughed my ass off at his description of airports. XD
(cont.) I had a good time once I got there and was able to rest, but it was still a pain in the ass to get there. So I understand exactly why you're reluctant to travel that far, Jo.
I traveled from Toronto to Hawaii recently. It was like 16 hours each way, including the time spent in airports. I can never sleep while sitting up, so by the time I got there I was exhausted. I remember thinking "Oh God, I'm so glad I wasn't going to Japan. That would be twice as bad!"
If you think Japan is weird, try visiting the Red Neck regions of America. Boy is that crazy! Then again... they're not too friendly with anyone who's from "south of the border." Don't feel bad though, they aren't too friendly with civilized Americans either. :P
@Nerf NOW!!: As someone who lived in London, I'm curious as to what is the most appealing attraction to outsiders. I liked the Tate galleries and the parks but it seems most people are more interested in the Palace and Tower of London.
@MangoMaster4: You are reading me wrong, Japan isn't the 1st on my list of to-go places, just the most exotic of the places I'd like to visit. I want to visit New York or London first.
@Valiantsix: It's expensive and honestly, traveling alone is something I won't do anyway. But it's on the plans, just not for now.

What's with this Samus yer right off the bat? First Joshscorcher makes a video, on how to fix Other M, and now there is a spam of Samus comics here (not that i mind)

If you get the time Jo I would recommend you try and make a trip over here. Japan has lots of sights and fun stuff to see/buy. Plus with the yen rate being down slightly it's a bit more cost effective. Yeah I agree, airports suck but after that annoying hurdle it'll be an experience to remember.

Samus You cant get yourself kidnapped by Bowser hes a one occasionally two princess man. Plus your reputation requires a true IDGAF villain. Mebbe the omnicidal super paper mario or DCs Lobo someone like that.
@AckAckAck: its just a joke.. I mean, japan is probably one of the countries with the most unusual/bizarre cultural elements out there, and many of them are purposely so!
also, as a BR, i wouldn't be surprised if others considered my country's culture alien as well. even i think it is, sometimes!
As someone who's lived in Japan for 3 years I can say that it's a unique experience, though my experience was more of me being in the Military I did live out in the town and not on base for the final year, and it was quite nice. Just remember that the people there are people like everyone else.
"Wait, Samus? Bounty hunter, monster killer Samus? SHIT! ITS A TRAP!"

my two questions are, who could really kidnap someone who is know for blowing up almost every planet she set foot on, and two, who will talk to her when she inevitable becomes sad over her dream/fetish/curiosity of been a princess.
@AckAckAck: Japan is the most foreign of the well-known countries, so Jo's comparison is not wrong.
As for who would rescue Samus, everyone knows it'd be Little Mac, and Bowser does NOT want to be on the receiving end of a Star Punch.

Samus would let herself be kidnapped for the experience, after she gets bored she'll just leave, and/or kick the tail off any reptiles who get in the way
@AckAckAck: He's just kidding. i live in Brazil too, and i wouldn't be surprised if someone from another country thought that our culture was alien. Hell, even i think there's some pretty weird stuff, sometimes!
But Japan is famous for it's bizarre elements.. which isn't exactly bad, just weird.
Dude, I hate to say this but I think calling Japan some kind of "foreign planet" is not really a good thing. Japan is just like another country, they are simply culturally differrent. I mean not everyone will understand Brazilian culture right?
DO NOT deny yourself the opportunity my friend, it is worth the hassle to have such an experience in your life. You may have regrets later on in life that may haunt you.
Jo, I have been blessed to visit many countries, south africa, Italy, London, Russia, Ireland, scotland, Phillipines, Korea, Mexico, (canada of course) and especially Japan.
Give yourself the chance, anyone who has the chance SHOULD visit a foreign country and it is WORTH the hassle. (1/2)
