In fact, I would love it if Jo had the time to make a spin-off series devoted to MOBAs like DotA 2, League of Legends, and Heroes of the Storm. But I doubt he has the time to do so... :'(
@Zero: It's also called viewers being ungrateful and complaining about an artist drawing things he actually likes to draw. Get off your high chair and stop being such a snob. Like Chattman said, there are plenty of non-DotA 2 cartoons and story arcs in the comic; Jo's included plenty of variety.
@Frost: Because I was reading this comic long before Jo became obsessed with DOTA, and when he's not writing countless DOTA in-jokes this comic is actually worth reading. Is that so hard to comprehend?
@Zero Less Dota 2 was promised. Jo has been making less Dota 2 comics. Everyone in the world prefers to talk about subjects they like, then what they don't like. If you don't like the subject wait patiently for it to change or just go away. There is no need to be rude.
Don't care about your Dota MMR, please. If you queue without a full team of five, it's meaningless. You have no control over what your team does and the lower your MMR gets the less chance you have to influence the outcome. If you're not already high ranked you'll never be and it's not your fault
@Zero: Why are you still here? Someone normal would have moved on by now if they didn't like or tolerate DOTA 2. You know, seeing how half of the comics on this site are based on it. Are you a masochist?
Seconding what @Barreytor Darkster said, going for a nice stroll during a quiet moment is great exercise. Don't set any step count or time goals, just enjoy the weather and the neighborhood.
I just downloaded a thing called Zombies Run, it provides you with a story while you walk or run, and every once in a while zombies chase you so you have to run faster. It's pretty fun.
This is how I kept in shape for so long, now and then, especially while I was angry, I'd just get up and walk or ride a bike about at night. I'd not monitor the time or such like that, just drift along with my mind and enjoy the quietness of it all. Also I used to go hiking
Oi! You dont even need to leave your house for exercise! Just watch this guy on youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/TonyHortonFitnessTV/videos Or just search Tony Horton in youtube
I've been wanting to excercise too, but every time I start doing it, I forget why I'm doing it and stop because of how boring it is compared to playing video games.
And don't feel too bad about not being good at Dota. Moba games have the worst communities, get out while you can, have fun instead.
@Noam Ben Arih: Oh, Captain's Draft can be the WORST. I stopped playing that before I stopped ranked entirely. As many things as there are for guys to get mad about in Dota, C.D. gives them one more thing to get mad about: "You didn't pick Viper for me! That's it, fuck you, I'm feeding!"
In Dota, I have just stopped playing solo ranked completely. I find it's less frustrating and more fun. I also almost never play party ranked because usually I can never find more than 2 friends to join me who A) want to play ranked B) aren't already in matches when I sign on.
Oh yeah, one other thing! After you straighten up at the end, try to jump straight up. You don't have to jump really high, just make sure your feet leave the floor. Even doing that much will give your legs a good workout.
(cont.) Now if you are like me and you try that, you WON'T be able to work your way through all those sets the first time. I did 10, rested 1 min., and then had to stop partway through 9. But I kept doing it every 2nd or 3rd day and eventually got in good enough shape to get all the way down to 0.
Jo, I suggest you try burpees. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burpee_(exercise) The video on that page is about right, except that some people (me included) do a pushup when they drop down.
Try to do 10, rest for 1 min, then do 9, rest for 1 min, then 8, rest 1 min, etc. until you are down to zero.
Don't do yoga. If you just want exercise, try walking, and try to enjoy it. Just find a bit of time and go for a walk without any distance or "time walked" goals, it's better and easier to enjoy the exercise of walking if you're not trying to achieve an arbitrary amount of walking in a session.
