@Gb7zone7 Shulk really doesn't because of the whole debate of when noone cares if a man is shirtless on a form of entertainment but a female being shirtless is a different story. All of Samus' Alts cover her cleavage, even the orange one. If shantae has an average low rating then she G2G.

@Chattman Zero Suit Samus's alt costumes. Shulk's alt. Besides, all the Shantae games have the ESRB rating of E10+, Smash is E10+.

Now i don't know much about ERSB or anything, but if adding her would screw up the E10+ rating of Smash WiiU/3DS then she has no chance. If she wouldn't screw it up I guess I wouldn't mind her being in smash....although i wish Square would sell Geno to Nintendo for a low price soon.....

My main issues with Shantae is dressed...differently than the rest of the smash females. What i mean is every other smash female has their cleavage well covered, only getting as close showing a little area below the neck, or the upper part of the belly. Shantae Shows A LOT of cleavage off. part1

Here is my reasoning for Shantae, She's been heavily nintendo in the past. She's got the sex appeal, and adds another girl to the roster. She would be a pretty interesting fighter I think. Because, sadly, videogame companies pander to young males. It basically means your vote counts a little more if you're a guy. At least that's my theory.

@GK: Actually, Engi could totally work. Down b would be a mini-turret, up b would lay a teleporter, hit it again to tele to it with an instant tele if you're in the air, and super would be a fully upgraded turret that blasts the hell out of whoever it sees.

Nintendo-made characters have the best chance of getting in. Vote for Viridi or the rest of the 1st gen starters.

Ok, guys. Whoever's voting for Shantae, stop. Focus on first-party characters. Yes, there have been third-party characters in the last two games, but that requires Nintendo to negotiate with the developers. Although, I voted for Sora, so I'm just as bad.

I think Shantae has just as good a chance as those other two. None of her games ever got released in Japan.

So, I'm still the only one I've heard of who really thinks Amaterasu from Okami should be in the game? Capcom already has a character in the game (Megaman), so it's not unlikely that they allow more, and her moveset could be great. :o Not to mention that Okami really needs more attention. >.<

Shantae would be interesting. Imagine transforming in mid battle also having the other characters making cameos.

Even though i voted for Daisy (why isn't anyone voting for her? D:), i'd totally be ok if Shantae will be in brawl! Even if Nintendo will have to fix her designs a bit here and there, i feel she could be a nice fit for the roster.

Personally, I would love to see a MOBA character get in there...Lina from DotA 2, Luxanna Crownguard from League of Legends, Sun Wukong from SMITE, Malfurion from Heroes of the Storm, etc. It would be rather interesting to see the translation from one physics engine to another.
