@Shareazu: Kylo Ren is hilarious and was the perfect route to go. They know they can never top Vader and instead went with essentially an unstable fangay teen who so hard wants to be cool like his grandpa. Honestly, they succeeded in making him a more menacing villain than anything in the prequels.
@Elyseon: That's actually what R2D2 originally was going to be but the lack of technology making the design possible kept it from happening. They took the original sketches and reused it since it was now possible.
Yeah, the movie was very good. Was it a masterpiece? Yeeeah, no way. But not a single Star Wars movie ever was a masterpiece. People tend to make the old trilogy this big deal, but back in the days it was considered sci-fi shennanigans and nothing more.
@Shareazu: I freaking LOVED Force Awakens, definitely leaps better than the prequel trilogy. The main villain's tantrums make sense to me, given his nature. I won't elaborate, because spoilers etc.
Yeah, the movie was really nice IMO, being at least as good as some of the old ones. My only complaints are with the 'super weapon' they use... it seemed a little bit... tryhard, not to mention the main villain and his hissy tantrums.
