@Raxyz: Literally every time I or anyone else I've seen complained about the D/A combo, everyone flipped the fuck out because dur hur m2 = skill m1 = spam. I fucking hate this community.
@Duke Garland: I guess I did. I'm surprised Valve still cares. After TF:GO I'd guessed Valve proclaimed the game dead. Maybe I should give it a try again, but with Witcher, Amalur and Fallout nagging on my backlog I don't think I will. XD
Also @Runic SSB
Have you EVER frequented a TF2 forum? Or read the comments? Deg/Axt was the cheapest, most unbalanced thing ever added to TF2. And that comes from someone who hates Demoman and all its variations.
The last update TF had was just pretty skins eu CS contracts. The phlog hasn't changed as far as I know. It was always a gamble that wether paid off big time or you died taunting.
@Masteredwood: The point is not that you can't kill him afterwards, the point is that the Pyro can survive the ENTIRE taunt and STILL do critdamage to people around him after that. That is what it makes this weapon buff so ridiculously stupid.
And lo, the spirit of imbalance did leave the patron warrior and proceed thence into the secret paladin, whereupon it said well met and laid about upon the meta with MC into boom into Tirion.
Also, anyone who thinks this is even remotely comparable to the R8 is probably an extremely early ancestor to humanity (I'd guess Homo Habilis) that somehow got sent forward in time and knew how to type. This is legitimately the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life.
If you can't out-dps the phlog as a heavy, then you're shit at tracking. (crit flames=415 dps, minigun=520 dps). It's not overpowered, its just been hammered into your brain that non-M2 based flamethowers take no skill, so seeing people win with it makes you think they're winning without trying.
I don't understand why they needed to buff it. The Phlog was considered to be OP even before the update. I never used it before because it just felt like a cheap victory compared to the other flamethrowers.
