Every game with "roguelike" in it I try to avoid. Those don't appeal to me at all, they try to cash in heavily on nostalgia and challenge-hungry public.
Dungeon is heavily RNG based? Oh please, it is heavily skill based. There are a few better and worse situations but that is the nature of a rogue-like, but most of the time it is your skill and knowledge that carries you through the game. Repeat, git gud, and you come further the more you play
Gungeon also has game-winning combinations where the RNG lines up right. For instance, the Easy Reload Bullets with weapons with a last-in-the-chamber effect or the Elder Blank with Ammoolets. Meanwhile, just practice a lot because game IS hard and unlike Force-Roar the combo alone wont carry you
I loved Biding of Isaac myself. Picked Enter the gungeon and holy crap it's way more skill based than item based. And items dont have that combination aspect where you can have super op run from time to time. Here every run sux. ps. Git Gud.
