Better solution to Kickstarter problems. Research. I'm no Capcom expert, but Inafune self-proclaims to be Megaman's father even though he's just the artist. MN9 was expected to be bad really.
Quick google searches for Inafune made me wary back then. Unlike Indivisible or Bloodstained.
Ya, that's why they heavily nerfed Snipers in Enemy Within by turning off one single thing: You can't Squadsight Crit with Overwatch/Oppertunist. Otherwise, TWO ArchSnipers is basically cheating: one in overwatch, one firing with Headshot, and a third soldier with stealth (and 100% crit while stealt
I only found about Freedom Planet late but it is a pretty good game. Shantae seems promising, Mercenary Kings is a good game, the problem is that it looks like Metal Slug so I got it expecting something like Metal Slug where anyone just jump in and play but it plays like Megaman.
last but not least, kickstarter is NOT a pre-order platform
do not expect it to be, it's litrally funding a developer to make a game
weather he makes a good game depends SOLEY on the developer
if he associates with a publisher, he clearly has money, and evil intent...
@Demonologist: Pillars of eternity was a bad joke of a game, absolutely horrid on every level beside maybe artwork. The Banner Saga speaks for itself, the free game that came before was better than the kickstarted drivel.
The message of the story is clear.
When Morgan is slightly suspicious and guarded, her breasts become C cups.
There is no way just puffing her chest does that.
I kickstarted (and even contributed, to my chagrin) to a webcomic anthology back in 2011 that STILL hasn't gotten it's books out. Japan Needs Heroes. The guy claims they are held up in international shipping due to red tape. But five damn years?! Bull.
Hyper Light Drifter, Pillar's of Eternity, Darkest Dungeon, The Escapists, Freedom Planet,Among the Sleep,The Banner Saga & Superhot, all great games from kickstarter. Don't let one horrid excuse of a game ruin it for you
All of my kickstarters have delivered :3 Mostly from hardworking comic artists and t-shirt stuff, so they dont have as big as risks like games? D:

I have yet to fund a Kickstarter that I regretted. But then again, I've only donated to 2 of them. Then again, I donated more than a sane person would to one of them, and even then I don't regret it.
If you don't pay more than $20 or at least double digits, you really haven't lost anything IMO.
If anything, this kills Inafune in my eyes. I would have, and did, follow him to the gates of hell, but after this? Nope. He's over the hill. The worst part is that Mighty Gunvolt was a FANTASTIC game. Why didn't they just do THAT instead?! That was what everyone wanted, anyway!
Mighty No 9 was a HUGE disappointment, but that doesn't mean I'm done with KickStarter. I've had... around 10 KSs that I've received and been very happy with. And between Rain World, You Are Not the Hero, and Bloodstained, I suspect that this trend will continue.
Mighty #9 was a horrible kickstarter, with mooching Bait 'n switch tactics. Others arn't that bad. If they're up front with what they need, or already have a demo ready, trust them.
Kickstarter is a great idea... but there's always a risk with investments in upcoming titles. Oh well. Hopefully Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and Yooka Laylee will be good.
This whole "exercise in patience" is why they made turn limits for Xcom 2. Although, sequel also gets significantly easier as you progress along. That being said, my best result is having two reloads per Classic difficulty game. Still cannot handle actual Ironman.
@Guilherme Pereira: Pick what you think will be worth. I expected Mighty to be, but Inafune failed to delivery. I'd do it again if was another game I liked with a developer I respected.
