The only correct way to play yogg is in nukedecks. Just have him as a last resort when you are about to loose anyway. I like it best in mage where you can delay for 2+ rounds with iceblocks.

He's often your last hope to turn the situation, so he kind of is Hope's End.

Yogg Sauron hopes end: You play it when you've lost to still coinflip the game.

He sure ended my hope of winning when he
a) Gave my opponent some life
b) Left his board alone
c) Killed himself
d) Starfired my face

Although in his defense he wasn't actually my Yogg, I got him in my hand thanks to a Shifting Shade so he was probably just helping out his owner all along.:p

@Serialkillerwhale: So what you're saying is that hope is a cruel illusion.

Jo, in the last panel it should be "What part of 'Yogg-Saron, Hope's End' don't those guys get?" and "How did I go from ending hope to giving it?"

I feel like this is the time for a Danganronpa joke.

Only if hope exists, can hope end. When yogg is played, both players hope against hope for his favor.

And hope will end.

@Edgar Lee: I disagree with the sentiment. Yogg msny times isn't decisive enough to crush the opponent's hope.

Many times, the enemy is ALSO hoping Yogg do something good for him. Yogg the hope giver.

It ends opponent's hope.

And occasionally, 9 + mana coin Yogg = Draw cards, then astral communion.
