My rec for a manga would be karakuri circus. no laser eyes or power levels yet. only one flying grandpa.

Check Weebtoon "Trace". It's pretty interesting because of different look at superpowers, felt more like russian idea than Korean one. Dunno about later seasons because they tend to get worse but 1st one was definitely worth a while.

Kind of surprised the tentacle hasn't read Assassination Classroom...

You should make a manga, then I should buy it and read it. brasil needs brasilmangas, and that's the truth, Ruth.

(Also, Berserk is pretty great)

BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK BERKSERK!

Berserk is hands down the best manga I've ever read (mileage may vary, opinions, all that jazz). It's a masterpiece and over anything else it definitly deserves a read.

Read tenkuu shinpan. It's a rooftop death game with psycho killers wearing masks. What's not to like?
If you're looking for a realistic, gritty type manga, Tentajo, try reading Until Death Do Us Part by Takashige Hiroshi and Ubel Blatt by Shiono Etorouji.

For other genres, I recommend Baby Steps by Kachiki Hikaru, an epic Tennis Manga.

Kengan Ashura is Grappler Baki for people who don't like JoJo.

If you read all of those, that line is funny, i swear.

Monster Collection was inspired by someone simply wanting to see a female summoner as the main character, and it's amazing. Even the scary serious villain has perfect moments of comedy.
I love how the main character also turns some "enemies" into allies. :D

Jo, I saw you asked if there';s a new FMA. No i'm pretty sure there was just the manga and the two animes, the first being made when the manga was unfinished and the second being made to closer match the manga. All are good despite being mainstream.
Best manga I ever read was Monster Collection. A nice short and sweet six volumes with A Great Plot, Well developed Characters, and the right amount of comedy and fan service mixed into one of the best art styles I've seen in a long time.

@NerfNow Sengoku Youku. Shounen but doesn't ever feel over the top i could say. Really strong two-part story that ties back together. Also completed with 99 chapters.
my manga recommendation is everything by Urasawa Naoki. Monster, 20th Century Boys, Pluto even Master Keaton is great too. Well if you like action more you may try Full Metal Alchemist

@HolyDanna: Didn't know that one, ty for the recommendation. at first glance it seems cool.

That word senpai comming out from Engie's mounth made me go full moist.

If you want some better ones with similar shticks, try Battle Through the Heaven (DOUPO CANGQIONG) on the adaptations, or for a *much* better although without a comic adaptation, Sovereign of the Three Realms - that guy most notably acts smart outside of just pulling new recipes and skills.

Tales of Demons and Gods is an adaption of a chinese xianxia novel and to be blunt it isn't from one of the good ones. "MC using his brains" very quickly devolves "MC pulls out a new hax skill outta his ass every time" while all he's doing otherwise is acting like an immature twat.

You definitely have to go with Boku no Hero Academia. All of the characters are powerful, but have limits and flaws. The main character is the strategist too, instead of a dumb-as-rocks shounen. Should also try Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko, it's really popular and a funny strip-a-day manga.
might be obvious, but Berserk 100% recomended although it's rather grim pretty quickly.

I recommend "Gamaran" it's a fighting mang about swordfighting and different styles and schools and a battle to be the greates with a good turnaround plot.
the description of how each martial technique works with some realistic logic demonstrates the author's passion for the weapons and martial arts

A lot of good recommendations there. Lucifer and the biscuit hammer is one of the best manga ever and Vinland Saga is great history manga with a lot of hot action. I will add Grand Blue since it's the best comedy manga I have read in a while.
Vinland Saga if you wish for a change of pace.
No superpowers however, and about 150 chapters so far,
yet the story and the art are quite good.

There's always Kingdom which is nearing 500 chapters as well.
I recommend lucifer and the biscuit hammer for an incredible mix of action, comedy, and feels.

How about Teppu, it's a mixed martial arts series that stays relatively realistic. It's short at only eight volumes so wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Jo the new FMA you're thinking of is Brotherhood, it's just a faithful anime adaption of the manga and so good.

I'd recommend RE:Monster, it's pretty good about a guy with game-like powers that resurrects as a monster and his story of figuring what is going on.

@Frid: I feel all chars had their power-peak at some point. King was the most Op for a bit when he was the only one with a weapon for example.
@Stefano Stancato Teixeira: I still read One Piece (current arc is good)

I read the the original Full Metal Alchemist. I think there is a new one? The original was fine but kinda lostthe charm near the end.

Boku No Hero is my favorite right now. Deku and Uraraka are lovely.

In deadly sins I found disappointing that only Meliodas and Escanor are carrying the team, while the rest are effectively useless. Still reading it though.
My personal favorite is Breaker. First season was positively glorious.

Shonen : Psyren, Alive : the final evolution, Tales of Demons and Gods, Tower of God, Tsuyokute New Saga, Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, The New Gate, Re:Monster, Douluo Dalu, Akame ga Kiru, Red Storm, Rain, Immortal Regis (and Cavalier of the Abyss), Dungeon Meshi (cooking and fantasy !)
@Radu Stancu: Have you tried Mujang ? Martial arts in Korea, with a hero with a big heart.
And if you're into Shonen where the hero is not the strongest, you can check out "Psyren". Also loved "Alive : the final evolution"'s hero.

I would just like to add a recommendation of my own: Vagabond. It's the story of Musashi, the famous japanese swordsman that invented the dual-handed swordsmanship technique. It's based on historical records and the books that tell the story. And the art is pretty tight too.
I will go ahead and reinforce some of the recommendations people already made here. Gunnm and Berserk are very cool and have very mature note and topics to them. And while Jojos Bizarre Adventure has been on the spotlight recently because of the new anime, the manga is definitely worth checking out.
@NerfNow : Tales of Gods and Demons are adapted from a korean novel, if I'm not mistaken (making the 'comic' adaptation a manhwa). If you do not want to wait for the chapters to be released, I'm pretty sure you can find the books on the web.
If you like Shonen battle mang in concept but just don't like it when executed poorly I'd recommend One Piece(a truly epic tale of pirates), Full Metal Alchemist(which is prety much as close to perfection as you can get) and My Hero Academia which is prety new by comparison, but still amazing.
I should not forget to suggest Berserk. It is super detailed but very dark. It is a slow comic but that is because the artist will spend an entire page on a beach the characters are walking across or hide 40 different faerie creatures in the forest on another page.
Check out Gunnm: it has cyborg flip-out action, numerous good story threads and a main badguy who also likes flan (or "cheesecake" as you called it).
Shinobi no kuni and golden kamui are decent mangas, one about nobunaga's son trying to invade iga that's full of ninjas, and golden kamui about a soldier and girl hunter looking for a tresure that the map has been tatooed in convicts back

@Kubax The Blind Salmon: I second this recommendation.

If Jo tells us what manga series he's already checked out, we could proceed to recommend ones he hasn't yet.
If you liked Kengan Ashua, from the description, you might want to try Breaker. It's not great, but it is nice. Follows the same pattern you described for KA.
Maybe Goblin Slayer? Well, people don't shot lasers, or fly all around merry. Yet.
Yeah. It's not a shonen, or a "let's go to a party kill some goblins cuz is fun" manga.
Have you considered reading JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?
Radu Stance already gave you a bunch of Manwha's ( korean ones) terms of manga I woul say if you are looking for heavy mature, Go Berserker or Gantz. In terms of more Seinen go Kingdom and another good manhwa is Demon king ( about 315 chapters and not finished yet)
tower of god, noblesse, the legendary moonlight sculptor, the god of highschool(the title has little to do with highschool, it's mosty fighting gods and demons), the gamer, feng shen ji, hello hellper(art style might not be for everyone, but it's rather funny and has some mature themes), gosu

Out of stuff to read, no problem. If you want some sugestions, I would recommend Shigurui for a seinen, Boku no Hero Academia and Black Clover for shounen, Saint Onii-san and Kaguya wants to be confessed to for comedy and love-comedy. Hope you like them if you ever try it
about 8 years ago
I recommend reading Gunsmith Cats. One of my favourite seinen series up to date.
Out of mangas to read, heh?
Have you considered letting Saint Onii-san into your life yet?

If not, you should, 't's pretty fucking good.
