@Frost: -The other set of materials being cloth which you can use to craft cards. The card picking system lets you get random 4 cards and choose from 3 options for the 5th.
@Frost: Unless it was changed in the last 2 weeks, you get a "Round win" objective every day, which iirc gives 100 materials to buy kegs (exactly the amount to buy 1)and you get random 5 materials of the 2 types every time your opponent ggs a full Match, you can gg and give them random materials-
@Eugene Balder: Gwent is too complicated? It's a fairly simple game, the complexity comes in reading your opponents cards and playing appropriately, and the same can be said for hearthstone.
CD bird? Who's next? Valve or Bethesda?
Gwent is pretty complicated. I was one of the first beta player, quit for awhile and when I came back, I can hardly follow the meta anymore.
@Mr. Lemon: Gwent will never be big as Hearthstone for one simple reason - it is just too complicated! It is hard to play and hard to watch. (Harder than Hearthstone atleast) I love Gwent, but I think it is niche card game and it will never accrue big audience.
@Mr. Lemon: In my opinion Gwent is less luck-based than hearthstone. Both games require skill to create the decks, but the games in themselves are very luck based for Hearthstone, while more strategy is involved for gwent (as the result does not depend on the outcome of one round).
Got into Gwent a few days ago. The game is super fun, and as a player addicted to Hearthstone from the beta, I can safely say that Gwent will be a much bigger thing for me than Hearthstone ever was.
