I think Jo sees Torb as one of those Overwatch characters that's too similar to their TF2 counterpart. He looked back at the latter and realized he likes Valve's take on the class better.
The gun's actually pretty good, if you can cope with the arc. 70 damage on the main projectile, and the secondary fire does more damage than Reaper's shotguns (!). Even his hammer only does about 10 DPS less than Rein. Plus, especially at lower ranks, the turret is often the best player on the team.
LMAO at the people missing the joke here. The gun being innacurate is something Angie said to prank him. Jo's actual complaint about Tobjorn is that his gun isn't the best among other characters, NOT the accuracy. :p

you're being too hard on Torb. He might not be your type of hero, but as area denial he's right in his element. The primary fire of his gun has a single steady arc with no drop in accuracy, and does quite a bit of damage. For players like me it's tough to be an assault character.
When you're playing torb, you need situations where you run in and shotgun blast. His ult isn't just a turret upgrade too. Your reload speed combined with your right click shreds tanks.
Aww nah, you're just bad with Torbs gun. When I play torb I'm destroying tanks left and right with that gun, one shotting tracers, and killing everybody. Getting more torb kills than turret kills. His main projective is extremely accurate if you know how to aim correctly.

As for the Marines, they were always supposed to be that big.

The Zerg may have lost some of their mystique, reducing their 'scary unknown' factor, but that can't be helped for a sequel.

The new design is definitely bulkier, but overall its proportions are true to the original. I think that the changes are mostly to adapt to the new 3D graphics. Different perspectives can make the original feel too wiry and weird.

@Jay: I agree that Blizzard made a lot of poor decisions in making SC2, but I don't think there's as much 'change' in the art as you think. Compare:

I could see Wolf from PAYDAY backing up our favorite redhead on this. He's a sentry-building guy too. And in fact, in PAYDAY 2, you can actually steal -the- TF2 sentry (!) from a train, and in the newest version, put it in his workshop, where he proceeds to learn from it!
@Jay: i second that. Starcraft 2, at least for me, lost much of it's visual appeal, since the characters are so exaggerated that it looks almost comical sometimes... While starcraft 1 had a darker look.
(cont.) And the Protoss, the concept from SC1 was completely butchered in 2. They don't have 2 thumbs anymore and aren't slender and tall as f*ck. And the Zerg, they're not even scary anymore. It's become a joke of itself. And don't get me started on the story.
Among the things you mentioned Jo. I think the WoW style slapped on everything that Blizzard has been creating for years now pisses me off real good. The biggest one that makes me want to punch the screen is Starcraft2. Hell the Marine's armor is bigger than the ones in Warhammer.
