I'm glad Victoire did poorly. If you disrespect a skill, then karma ought to teach you why it's a skill. If she had won, it would have reinforced a worthless opinion, not just for her, but for lots of readers, too. Gamers have enough of an inferiority complex as it is.

Pppht. If playing MK8D, from my experience you don't even need to be playing the players to see that event. Seriously, the AI will just CHAIN shells one after another, and I honestly may not play Mario Kart a lot, I have never seen so many blue shells....

@Mud Mud: depending on the version, there could be 4 or more racers behind her that were throwing all those shells.

I know people wanted her to actually be good at it for ye olde plot twist, but really, she doesnt look like the kind to be good at "kiddy stuff". I mean, when they were younger, Anne was some funny thing for halloween, ans Victoire was "a princess". She seriously is not nerd material.

The wording was a bit awkward in this one. I'd have gone with something like "We might have gone a little bit overboard. Oh well, it was fun. Right Victoire? Victoire?".
