Hilariously enough, this 'meteor' is actually more relevant to the original "Save the World" version of Fortnite than the BR mode. Matpat made himself look like a dumbass by theorising on it while completely ignoring StW. It appears in every Fortnite skybox too, not just on the BR map.

@Thelonius Dunk: The original PvE Fortnite is actually still part of the game, it's literally on the main menu as you open the game, right above the BR mode, and still being updated with patches and events (Epic even assured the community it'd still be supported long-term).

Maybe it's the 2nd Impact and from now one we'll have EVAs ingame.
