I actually quite liked the 9S arc. It starts as innocent enough as "do the same thing again as a different character" (I honestly first though it's some kind of New Game+), but he really makes the story take off.
Gameplay wise, the arc doesn't play to the games strengths though.
Pay attention to the palico that serves the food at the end of the cooking cutscenes. The lid he throws in the air is totally about to land on his head when the cutscene ends.
Fun fact: there is almost just as much Rule 34 of 9S as there is of 2B. And half of it is him getting his bum plowed like a fresh field. Poor boy droid just can't catch a break.
Why the hell does everyone try to play 9S exactly like 2B? He sucks at Melee Combat. Take all your 2B Chips off, and put on Range Combat Boosters, you lunatics. SHOOT EVERYTHING. And if something is strong against shoots, that's when you pull out the Hacking.
@Jean-Sébastien Leclerc Demers: I dunno man. His combos are really lackluster in comparison to 2B's. Hacking can make the fights a bit disjointed sometimes. I like it personally, but yeah he's not quite as good. 2B's combat feel's so fluid.
Josué, I know 9S's part isnot as good as 2B's. I love the game, and I'll be the first to admit it. But BELIEVE ME, it is entirely worth it, it gets so much better from there. You WILL have to go back to him at some point, but trust me, it's all really worth it, there's so much more waiting.
