This is great and I appreciate the attention to detail. I do hope that you have some sort of follow up where ALek shows Angie that she could have just called a wingdrake and in fact does NOT need to kill her self to take the lazy route.

I think you did a great thing changing the character. Not every author puts this kind of care in building a strip. The character still looks a bit Alek-ish though - the chin, mostly, plus the expression on panel 3.
