Damn Jo, because of your comic I bought it.
Game got a love/hate relationship: game is minimalistic, with no tutorial (for those who need). But it also got the '80/'90 classic charm.
Another down side of the game: after 30min you'll realise you're a bad god.

obviously it was to bait the egyptians into chasing after them, so that they would get crushed by the the sea after his people made it to the other side.

couldn't the god simply teleport humans out of egypt?

As a Christian, I can confirm that this is pretty much the point the Old Testament tries to drive home.
