I don't like tank builds, because they are usually nerfed by being the builds that do less damage - and if there's anything I hate more than luck deciding fights, it's prolonging a battle for eternity because one side is nigh-invulnerable, but has no firepower to speak of.

DPS(glancing blow from shrapnel): *dies*
Tank(point blank strike from 21kt MIRV): "Ha ha, I need sandvitch."

Dodging was better in DS, but now you need to learn to deflect. Get the timing down and everything is easy. :P
