That said, Rogue 1 and Solo were both great Star Wars movies, honestly. Ep 7 & 8... have *no idea* what the heck they're doing. Ep 8 was downright *boring*.

i think SW7 was a fun enjoyable movie. Not saying it was a good film, but a decent popcorn flick.
SW8 was just. bad.

...(mostly just dialogue/acting) when overall they actually were very good movies. It just got tiresome. When a lot of "fans" started praising FA (before a lot of people woke up to it just being legally acceptable plagiarism) it showed "fans" just didn't like change and nothing more.

Force Awakens was so bad I never bothered watching TLJ (sounds like I dodged a bullet) and won't be seeing this one either. Having said that I was losing interest in SW before Disney because I just got so sick of "fans" obsessively bashing the prequels over one or two flaws...

Star Wars pretty much killed any enthusiasm I had left for Star Wars. Enjoyed Rogue 1, probably because it felt more like the original stuff, but other than that, meh. It's clearly a story for a new generation of viewers given how they're killing off all the old characters.
