Animal Crossing is like "The Sims with less kitchen fire (none)", but also a mobile game. Technically, you shouldn't play it more than a few hours. Animal Crossing is like those zen games somewhat puzzle in your own mind to achieve your decoration objective through a gacha game.
honestly emulation is not a blow below the belt. its really is needed to break up the big 3 which are currently choking the life out of gaming with console exclusives. think about most games coming out nowadays are so mediocre. the get the games like smash mario but most are just terrible.
Emulation is also why I'm content with my phone/gamepad combo over buying a Switch.
Its not the newest phone out there, but it runs almost everything up to, and including the Dreamcast, and even the PSP.
Kinda hard to count "EMULATION" as a low blow when it also includes DOS emulation. I mean, that's basically what Nintendo is doing with the Virtual Console titles - the difference is that I don't need to buy my Apogee and Epic Megagames titles AGAIN before playing them in DOSBox. Also, Steam.
Yeah, Animal Crossing isn't really a game for everyone. It is quite relaxing, but it takes a while to do much of everything, so unless you need a de-strees game to play everyday, Animal Crossing is kinda boring
sooooooooo since you can emulate them, why aren't you doing that already?
any way, home consoles don't have many generations left, only the portables will survive.
(let's face it,pc will never manage to become as portable as the switch.playing on the go with a gaming laptop is very uncomfortable.)
I mean, just look at TES and FO: Everything was supposed to get bigger and better after Oblivion and Fallout 3, but everything just went downhill content-wise, until we got to FO76 and TES Blades...
Thanks consoles, I hate it.
I agree with Lestak here, console exclusives are cancer.
PC exclusives however, is a good thing, because it allows a game to be so much more when it isn't required to skimp on content so consoles can run it too.
IMHO Animal Crossing is just hyped and people are dumb as f* (f stands for funk) and it follows everything like lamb. If we compare with Sims 3, then Animal Crossing is really meh.
That me with emulation via a Chinese console for the older Nintendo ROMs. Yeah the gameplay is not as smooth, but wow, what a selection! I don’t know why Nintendo never had a greatest hits package on a separate disc other than the NES Mario games for their newer consoles.
Don't really see the issue here, so basically the only thing they have above PC is that they, on purpose, decided to restrict games on certain platforms for profit. In terms of predatory anti consumer behavior that's way worse than emulation.
