@PugOfWar It is based on Witch of Salem or Werewolf. Per context, forensic wasn't their forte and couldn't really wait for execution. Knowing if it was a suspect or not is actually meta. They don't actually know they did eject an innocent, thus keep on going with their life.
the game is faulty by design, there is no punishment for voting wrong, the pace is too frenetic to do a proper investigation. And don't forget you are dealing with humans, if they can do something stupid they surely will do.
