Oh god the absolute pain this strip gives rise to in my soul... There are *WAY* too many people who are so linear in their attack methods in Overwatch that this isn't a freaking gag strip, it's a trauma.

And this is the difference between TF2 and Overwatch. Overwatch 6v6 focuses around a tight blob where anyone that breaks off from the blob dies upon contact with the enemy blob. TF2 you have 8-12 player teams and 1/3rd of the classes in the game depend on flanking routes to be effective.

Many people don't run around looking for a way to flank their opponent. They are normally expected to go in DPS guns blazing, a tank that can soak up the damage and a healer who can keep up hopefully.

This only works if someone is willing to push the main route, though... I'm sure Annie wouldn't appreciate if everyone was suddenly loud noising her quiet flanking route...

I mean sure...but if I'm on defense and no-one is coming through the main path then I know they are gonna try and flank. If everyone goes that route then it becomes the killzone.

Well to be fair, the flanking route only works if there is someone doing the distraction on the main route.

if too many people will use route B, it most likely will be the one of Pain and Spam, simply because opposite team will expect it and put main resistance force in there. As such, whichever route is most chosen, it becomes one of Pain and Spam... which means most people chose route of Pain and Spam.
