Torchlight 2 will always be my favorite ARPG. Sure there's almost no endgame but there's a massive modding scene for it in exchange of that.
Which I have barely touched. >_> I should do that one day lol.
I've always found it strange how resistant both GGG and the PoE community are to even the most basic of QoL features, to the point where they even removed disability assistance features. Like basically GGG spits on them, and the player base is like 'Give me more, Daddy!'

There's a Swedish saying that goes "Plague or Cholera?".
Basically, it's the Northern European type of dry cynical humour for stating that you have multiple options, but they're all bad and painfully drawn out...
Speaking of Blizzard, I keep seeing people recommend PoE every time someone asks for something similar to Diablo or WoW, but not made by a scummy company like Blizzard. They're...only superficially similar.
Hysterically similar to what Activision/Blizzard is doing now to Hearthstone... Introducing a new currency and removing the ability to do pretty much everything but buy boosters with the gold you earn in game. It's basically now "Give us your wallet or sod off".
As someone who pokes at Path of Exile the first week or two of a season, I'm more the back end of the pack, and therefor one of the people who gets the most maligned by "let us make the grind more grindy and harder" -- I usually drop playing when the grind really kicks off because the fun's gone.
Devs in a lot of games focus too much on the leaders. They raise the difficulty and water down the rewards so much in an attempt to slow the leaders down that everybody loses interest in their game. Focus on the pack, not the outliers.

That's also what happened to Warframe. The Canadian developers underestimated the dedication of their hardcore players, especially the #1 guild at the time, that they keep making the game grindier for everyone for each new major update.
