What bugs me is that the "Collectors Edition" is just advertising promotional material. Stuff that promotion merchandising companies spam out for anyone in mass runs. That's not special "Collector" items - it's "just junk", mass produced no thought, no connection to the material, just image/brand

I'm so happy we finally getting collector's editions without the game. Because if you're not a complete moron - you will only buy it AFTER you already own the game (and there's never a collector's edition that includes the PC version). But one would expect the price to reflect the lack of the game

Back in the day, games used to come with physical extras as part of the regularly experience. They called them "feelies".

Reminds me of when the same stunt was pulled with Mass Effect Andromeda. It even had a steelbook case for the game disc that wasn't included!

Price point for console games is about $70. Mouse Pad is about $1. Map should be about $2. Pin is about 50 cents. Art book will be about $3-$5. Plastic Candle... why cheese out and make it plastic instead of wax? Going to be about the same cost either way. Less than a dollar. About 70% profit.
