Anne is correct. Siege of Dragonspear was an entirely new addition made over a decade after the original by the company that did the remaster, and its godawful.
It is in no way part of the Baldur's Gate experience. In fact, actually factoring it into the series actively makes the series worse.

Of course. or the sequal. Totally don't exist. Nope. Definately not a weird lesbian sex scene between Imoen and a Drow. What a pity right? >_>;

All Beamdog additions are inferior to the originals. I like none of the new NPCs and feel that the new quests stick out like big sore thumbs. The evil characters try too hard to get your sympathy and too little to be funny. So I just avoid the lot of it.
Gonna have to agree with Anne over Angie on this one. Especially because Siege was something extra added by Beamdog when they made the Enhanced Edition, and isn't part of the normal experience; apparently, it's mob and faceless NPC dense too, with writing considered weaker than BG1 and 2.
yeah, my issue is I am so used to playing 3.5 and above. only ran 2 short sessions with 2nd. so thac0 is just cumbersome for me.
if it wasn't for armored core and payday 3 coming out. I would go back to neverwinter nights 2 for my healing war cleric with 2 greatsword build.

Casters are powerful but boring. Elf archer's a lot of fun - think it was my first character, too - sniping things from afar never gets old. And yet, in my book, you can never beat human barbarian/thief dual-class. Sneak behind a fool, rage, gib them.
