Villains tend to not mess with places that accept servicing them, it's an unwritten rule, usually the only one they follow.

If you haven't played killer, the flashlight blinds them, gradually to almost fully as you hold it on them.

When I played DbD I knew I was probably going to lose as a killer, my goal was to see how many times I could catch them and mess with them instead of actually winning.
