Whats with all the sudden apologists malding with copium and being triggered while going "I'M NOT MAD YOU ARE, REEEEE!" When people simply pointed out the scummy implications of Niantic working with GaymerX?
The only ones screaming about using the term "woke" etc are you fellas.
I thought this was about allowing fat avatars. I might be one of the few who didn’t like the avatar before and still don’t like it now. I would rather have them recicle the game npcs models but I guess adapt them to real world merchandise would be too much work for such extremely profitable game.

Oh boy, I see the comments are filled with "woke" morons...
Anyway, isn't it obvious that any de-sexy-fication in any game is gonna be blamed on leftists? We literally just went through Stellar Blade character being too unreal or looks like a child or whatever other reasons they came up with.

This whole Gamer(TM) rant about a plot by the EVUL FEMINISTZ to destroy beauty or whatever is nonsense. The update was meant to make Pokemon’s GO clothing options not gender locked. It seems they just got lazy and made the models more similar rather than remodel the clothing to fit both models.
You should be upset with this. The people who push for this rely on you thinking it's too small to complain. They are the embodiment of "Give an inch, take a mile."
Pokemon GO is owned by Google. Based on their AI rollout, suspect some overweight unattractive woke people thought this would be "inclusive" and a good idea.
I kid you not, the consulting company that pushed this is called GaymerX.
They also have a surprising number of sexual harassment scandals with their leadership, and had their non-profit exception revoked by the IRS who recommend further investigation into them.
@Samuel Measa I meant developers, companies, etc., not the final user.

Things that's so absolutely baffling to me is how they managed to convince the company that they had to spend resources creating entirely new assets to replace ones that already exist and work perfectly fine. Like how do you get them to spend money to fix what isn't broken?
Yeah. I hadn't heard about the pokemon thing, but it really is a shame that people feel like they need to go out of their way to make characters, specially from fictional and fantastical settings not attractive.
