I demand that Candidate Reid buff <<my class>> because of <<anecdotal evidence that may or may not be related to systematic discrepancies that are overshadowed by my OUTRAGE that someone from another class once beat me>>.

This is ridiculous, "even shamans are above paladins on healing meters"? LOL! how old is this? im top on my guild healing meter (resto shammy), with the Hpally right behind me and a druid on third by a very good margin

They can cut half of a shadow priest's potential: I'll still play that spec. It's my purpose in life

Not how WoW works. When you specialize in something you do that job without getting overshadowed by other classes. when you do, it's a balancing issue. Games such as D&D had no "specializations" and valued strategy more than character development: You do the best with what you have.

Pallys aren't meant to be primary healers to begin with. Even looking at some of the talents in the Ret and Prot trees, they're meant to be used more as combat healers in the same vein as old Clerics in D&D. If you want a primary healer, go play Priest.

Went Back to WoW last month after a year-and-a-half Hiatus, first thing I noticed post-prot talent/Ability recover was "Wow, I can heal way better than I could when WotLK launched". But if Pally's are still that low on the heal trees, I have to wonder how high the others can get from a single cast.

Pally are awesome in PvP and on healing charts! They make really great tank as well. But yes they are usually really low on the dps chart. Duh. As soon as you even chose your damn class they tell you a pally role are healing and tanking. Thats like saying Warrior are at the bottom of healing charts.
