See, there's a problem with your line of thought. It's not just one random pub that tells people to stop playing DOTA forever - it's pretty much ALL of them. I also got this kind of treatment in DOTA, for as much as as six games in a row once. It's a very shitty community in general.

I have faith in vALVE though, they are the only developer I know of that can make and keep together communities all the while defeating trolls by counter-trolling them.

If your primary concern is the community, don't get your hopes up. LoL and HoN didn't fare much better in that regard.

I admit I am addicted to Dota before even though I hate it today. I only enjoyed playing with friends because they know I'm a noob so they don't complain alot (And we are usually fighting with AI+ most of the time)

You watched one beautiful but meaningless trailer without any ingame footage and want to try DOTA2? It's kind of inconsistent, because the community of dota-like games doesn't really change at all with new graphics or minor gameplay additions.

The community of MOBA games (HoN, LoL, DotA2) was and always will be abysmal. It's a nightmare. But... but the game itself is a good one. So, my advice to you is, grab 4 friends, get accounts for LoL, start playing. If you like it you can consider DotA2. If you don't, then don't.

DOTA already ruined Savage 2 and now it is interfereing with Half Life 3.
