If you want you can kill that kid using the killable children mod .you can get it from skyrim nexus but you need to register and set the adult material settings in your profile.

This. I was being respectful of the Jarl's belongings because he was a pretty chill dude, then this little shit comes up and goes "herp derp I r no know how 2 diplowmasee" and I immediately raided the shit out of the castle.

And that's exactly why I love Morrowind. If you kill a main quest relevant NPC, the game says "U DUN GOOFED!", but let's you continue anyway. Why don't more games do that?
i really wish i could kill that kid, and that one that wants to play tag, WTF!

on top of that, the kid speaks with this friggin annoying californian accent in a game where everybody else speaks with an accent. so bloody frustrating!
I remember in an interview they said "If you kill a quest character, then a brother or cousin will take the quest"
Yeah, where's THAT?
Also, in Morrowind you COULD kill main quest characters and break the game. It would also warn you you broke the game, that was awesome.

Skyrim clearly was unfinished.
I mean not like Vampire Masquerade unfinished, but unfinished like the most of the quests were never really finished.
Especially the Thieves guild and Mages College.
Some smaller quests have incorrect text like Sanguine one for example.

Just wait for the Creation Kit. I believe a "kill them all" mod that doesn't totally break the game would be possible then.
P.S. Now I want a night gown for my Orc blacksmith.

well, there's a quest to shut up that kid and get a freesword. It's called the whispering lady or something like that. Got it for asking about rumors on that bar/inn.

So, not going for the daedric weapon, then?
Additionally, yes, there are black sould gems to be found/looted. I tend to use them for petard hoisting via vampires and necromancers.

One of the more annoying things I came across is that the real Butcher in Windhelm is invincible until you catch him attempting to murder someone, even if you pick his pocket for his key and find his diary, proving him to be the butcher, signed by him, beforehand.

Now I'm reminded me of ye olde good days of Baldur's Gate II.. start killing folks in Athkatla or pissing off the local wizards and they send increasingly powerful hit squads after you. If you defeat the final batch, they STOP attacking you with the elite guards out of absolute fear.

Haven't played Skyrim yet (blasphemy, I know... anyone want to buy me a copy?), but can't you still use FUS ROH DAH on them and find a nice ledge to push them off? Or do they avoid ledges >.>

Ohh, black soul gems, nasty end... and hell, if a daedra is allowed to put a kid's soul in one of those, why can't we?

Now why you can't store humanoid souls in the first place?

That's why I really love Fallout and Fallout 2!
Well, you shouldn't kill the shaman of your village in Fallout 2 because he kills you when you sleep, but it's possible! \o/

You actually CAN kill Yes Man, he'll just respawn in a new body after a few game days, so you get the best of both worlds; freedom to take out your anger on your minion if you so choose, but you won't break any quests by doing so. He won't fight back, and even apologizes for being HIMSELF

Oh good, glad to see I'm not the only one who hated that kid. I'm sitting there, listening to the Jarl and the Imperial general coordinate the defenses of Whiterun against the Stormcloaks and suddenly "Another wanderer..." covers up both the voice and the subtitles

@scottman with the exception of Yes Man but that's because he pretty much is the back up plan
ScottMan

And this is why Fallout New Vegas is far better than any Bethesda game, or at least any since Morrowind. As far as I've been able to tell, nobody has plot armour, and the game seems to have a backup plan for everything you might want to do.

I remember in Morrowind that I was running through side quests and I failed a pickpocket and killed a random merchant that was actually part of the main quest.
Kimura

The Jarl used to have Plot Armor... then the writers took an arrow to the knee and the code took a "#define NPC_INVINCIBILITY_LIST NULL" to the modding.

See, I just helped the Stormcloaks take over and kicked the old jarl out in favor of a cooler one.
