Just played the Skullgirls demo. The game looks great, the drawings feel alive, and the story is over-the-top (in a good way). Though I feel it lacks some content (there are only 8 characters), it does seem to be a good game. I might just buy it later on.

The tourney level pro Mike Z led the development of Skullgirls. It combines the craziness of MvC3 with the disciplined mechanics of BlazBlue, and it's MORE BALANCED than both. The art is extreme, referencing Betty Boop, Looney Tunes, and Lovecraftian Horror.

Mouse, I just took a look at the game in question, and it's not ugly at all. It's actually incredibly well drawn, especially for an indie title.

If that's what you think is "ugly", please never play classic games such as Ultima or inventive hybrids such as MUGEN. :)
