@Mr Brown: Well, it's done in order to balance the PvP. That way, your character's level and equipment don't matter at all. The only thing that is relevant is your skill. It's not ideal, but i'm okay with it as long as it works.

Do yourselves a favor, never buy games at full price again! That's what steam sales are for. :3

Don't watch trailers, and only get a good enough idea about the game to know what it features, and don't get that idea from the main site.

Better to expect a game you want to buy will suck to a degree than be overly pumped on it being good in all things, and then be disappointed.

GW2 has had so much hype from its super-obnoxious fanboys that there's no way the game can live up to it. So this is probably the right way to look at things.

Personally I just mark games that look somewhat good and pick them up whenever, zero hype means enjoying stuff for what it is rather than being disappointed.

i agree with the comic honestly, if you hype yourself less, you tend to be happier with the game, gives you a nice surprise when your wrong.

It's fairly healthy to get off the hype train. Publishers want people to pre-order so games spend their money before finding out whether a game is any good or not. It's much less stressful to wait until after launch and see if the game is good in many cases.

I was quite sad that Diablo 3 became monotonous in comparison to the previous installments. I say the fault on D3 was that there was only one thing to do which was gear hunting, and the auction house removing a lot of the human interaction.

A credible strategy I employed for ME2... and it blew my socks off. I don't know what to do anymore.
