Blizzard Employees are mostly playing Guild Wars 2 and Borderlands 2 these days.

Funny thing about Torchlight 2 is that the Online Servers got hit hard since everyone was rushing to register their account to play online. A form of Error 37 if you will.

Sad reality: Most developers are young mainly because young people is cheaper and can work hard fueled only by nachos and pepsi colas. So, when a developer end a long project then usually he quits and start working in other projects.

Blizzard devs hate world of warcraft.
They are actively trying to ruin it with every new patch and expansion, they just want it to fail so they can move on to something else.
But every time they try to make it worse people just keep liking it.

I actively play WoW and will be leading a raiding guild to great victory when MoP lands, so I'm pretty biased - I like the game.

Actually most people don't stop playing simply because they have already spent too much time on it.
I asked a friend why he kept on playing World of Warcraft after 6 years and he told me that he had spent too much money on it and quitting would be a monetary loss for him.

There is no single blizzard employee aside from the head honcho himself that knows the complete story of Mists of Pandaria, let alone has played it. World of Warcraft is NOT a good thing. Yes, it might be entertaining to a certain degree, and you might spend hundreds or thousands of hours (and dollars) on it, but it isn't a good thing.

My friend works at Blizz, but only contributes to user interface code. When a game comes out he can play it, and it's totally new to him.

He doesn't really play long though, usually a couple weeks after launch. His biggest running joke is that he's a Starcraft freak and they put him on WoW.
