I find it funny that these systems can be developed with certain DRM 'features' being touted as standard for years. Yet, come E3 and *information* about these DRM 'features' becoming public, they can make a turnaround in a week.

Youll be installing games on both consoles anyway, has nothing to do with the DRM policy.

The point is that by staying connected you could keep firmwares and game updates automatic (an annoying task on PS3) so you never have to wait your system update when you turn on the console. Also they could make that buying games online become much cheaper (like on Steam) but they were too arrogant

They wanted to force you to install every game you own on the console instead of running it in the disk and they planned on add some sort of cloud computing to help games. They wanted to move a lot of things to the cloud but the Internet is not ready for that.

From what I've heard, the PS4 was going to have about the same level of DRM as Microsoft announced the XBox would have... But since Microsoft announced first, they could see the backlash and then pretend no-DRM was always the plan for them.

Still, so far this Generation, I think I'm buying a PS4.

Microsoft can change policies at any time, and now they have no credibility. Prepare for day 1 patch and DRM.

The PS4 is still cheaper.

But if it had DRM & 24 hour check ins, they could have had sales equavilant to the ones on Steam. Think about what could have been!

I think it'd be a fair enough console if they removed the Kinect requirement. Still, if the price doesn't bother you and you don't think/don't care that someone could watch and listen through the Kinect, I don't see any MAJOR problems with it beyond that.

Now they just need to remove kinetic 100% requirement. and i'll consider the console. Nothing is going to keep the console from storying data and when you're force to update online due to buying a new game it then transmits all that data to M$ and to NSA.

Honestly, I was wanting a PS4 from the start, XBone was just a nice bit of Comic relief for me. Still, don't really see any significant problems with it right now, don't see any significant advantages either, 4/10 would not buy.
