I just wanted to add a different take on the whole Fish discussion. I recommend looking at this week's Jimquisition. I found it a good look at the industry.

As horrible as Jo's grammar appears in this post, he does not need to proofread it. The comic (and the content of the editorial) are obviously poking a lot of fun at Mr. Fish's supreme nerd rage quit which was about as elegant as failing 2nd grade English.

To this day, I still wonder why FEZ was held so high as the indie game du jour of today's videogame industry. Seriously, any other hack could've come up with this thing, and be better at it (I firmly remember one flash game that was a FEZ clone with better environments and actually had monsters).

Wow, there have been slip ups in the past, but this has to be some of the worst english I've ever seen from you Jo, everything alright?

Trolls can't be avoided, unless you start banning left and right (which they just make new accounts),start moderating every single post and omit every other post (daunting task),to the inevitable shut down (which hurts everyone).In theory taking pain killers will handle migraines. But it comes back.

Comparing trolls to migraines is completely unfair. Trolls can be avoided physically.

From what I see, I think Fish expected endless praise (a one-hit-attwhore-wonder?) and, uh... fished? for praise in the eCesspit®. Otherwise an "expert" on any field wouldn't even try to reason with the rabble.

Pinkie Spy: Cliffy B is a really genuinely good guy. I met him at E3 one year and was like "It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Bleszinski" and he was like "Dude, Mr. Bleszinski is my dad!" He's humble and awesome; not sure what incident is making you think otherwise.

People suggesting to "ignore" trolls is like telling people just to ignore a pounding migraine. Its unfortunate that FEZ 2 got cancelled, but it was inevitable, since its virtually impossible to stop trolls.

FEZ = so-so overhyped game where the hype backfired.

I'd be more sympathetic towards Fish if he didn't keep saying angry stupid things in the past. He's like Cliffy B, only without the occasional insight.

Seems like the problem is not that Phil Fish isn't built to take constant BS while making games. The problem is the constant BS people throw at those who make games.

I wonder this is engie-tan or not, but whatever.
Anyway, "U mad" can be expanded to other problems like game balancing, for example, buffing a nerfed unit in Starcraft can often lead to "U mad" situation.

That asshole (Fish) is just a one hit wonder who love to talk loud and fighting others on the internet. Meanwhile other developers like Amir who made Bastion actually developing a new interesting game called Transistor without yelling and rambling on the internet.

Good riddance. Although this guy is a wonder, he is amazing at making other people hate him.
