Well the gameplay seems good and the artwork is alright, but the ingame look is just bad in my opinion. Ignoring the fanservice debacle the game just looks bad.

I think what burns me most if the men in that game are just as over the top ridiculous fantasy bullshit but no one talks about them.

Shame people can't actually talk about the game and that Vanillaware can't just market that instead.

Naw, but seriously why is it always beefy guys with ham-arms and gravity-challenged buxom babes in these games? It makes me real awkward if I choose a wizard or any other thin class: "Oh, look a that mage: no boobs or muscles....weirdo!".

I've been seeing two types of reviews. One type has the scores at best mid range (roughly 65% average) and constantly focuses on the fan service controversy. The other type is generally positive (85-90% avg) and though the fan service is mentioned it's not a major factor. It's fascinating really.

... But I don't think they should take it out on the artistic choices of those who are already in the industry. I fully believe an artist should create for themselves, and if that's sexual, so be it.

While I understand why women object to yet another fanservicey female character, it's worth considering the fact that free expression still exists, and fanservice will always happen. There is certainly a discrepancy in the number of women vs the number of men in the game industry...

I really will never understand why people are paying so much attention to the proportions of this character. Most groups seem to focus solely on the size of the breasts. While most women will not have breasts of her size, it is physically possible. She just needs a more realistic waist/hip size.

I'd really prefer the proportions Jo used over the original XD

Eh I know people targeting it because it's a small Japanese game. It's an easy target by the so called "Internet white knights" that come from the western gamers group. I wonder how well they fare if they start criticizing AAA western games with similar fanservice.
