Well, I am pretty sure we never thought we'd even be gaming with keyboard/mouse/controllers back in the arcade era, times change and we'll have a full VR in the future.

My take on it is that he's doing one of those "lets play" videos you see on youtube or via live streams like Twitch TV, the later of which is now built into some of the next-gen consoles, as well as some games. Unfortunately, he doesn't really understand the concept.

The headset looks somewhat like an oculus rift 3d virtual reality headset, only it appears he is using it to view himself via the kinect sensor.

Okay, I'm clueless to what happens in this comic, and I expected to see clarification sometime in the comments.

Jim Sterling, as annoying as he can be sometimes, decided that the WiiU had the best launch of this generation. While the other game systems were bitching over little things and trying to remake the gaming experience, the WiiU has just been putting out games.

I find it intensely sad that no human being in the "civilized" world will ever again know what "privacy" means. It no longer exists. Period.

Hey, c'mon, things may look weird but it's time they tried to do something new on gaming. Besides, if things go south we'll always have Steam, so let them consoles take the risk.

I remember when consoles used to be only about gaming...

And not about using the wireless router into your house to infiltrate your computer and send the kinds of porn you are seeing to the NSA.
