I'm finally giving DOTA2 a solid chance for the first time, as a long-time LoL player. I never gave it much of a shot, mostly because the heroes are, visually, incredibly uninteresting when compared to LoL champions. But I was surprised, they make up for it by being mechanically interesting.

Post 2/2: And to be honest, Peru's Doto is as skilled (if not more) than the general NA doto. It's no surprise they cope the NA ladders, and that they do well against other NA teams (except qualifiers for ti4) at tourneys and LANs.

True, they are the only invited NA team, but bear in mind there's the one coming from the NA qualifiers (NAR) and maybe, maaaaybe Team Liquid if they win the Play-in series (i doubt it though).

It's a shame Revenge had such a poor results in the qualifiers. SMASH <3

It was very hard for SA teams. There was plenty of skilled NA teams and only one spot (being 2nd place would be even harder to secure a trip to TI4, since they have to play against russians, koreans and chineses in play-in).
