I loved that every dimwit was Congaing, it gave my strange wrap assassin free kills..As for un-nerfing stickies...Meh? I've tried more modern FPS games and frankly the hyper-quick deaths and belly flopping has made me come back to TF2 every time. Hopefully we'll get TF3 before the end of the decade
They should reinstate the nerf but change the ramp-up to be faster, then nerf the Short Circuit to prevent easy peasy defense of ridiculous Sentry Nests.
AAAAAAAANNNNNDDDDDDDD nothing changed. Demo will spam the hell out of stickies again, macropyros just have to change their macro to the flare gun, and people abuse the hell out of cheap tactics...
@Enlong: Yes, I think that would be a good idea. And since there's an achievement for killing 30 enemies with airburst stickies, I guess they can't just take that out of the game like I said before.
I love the stick bombs, I think is one of the few things that really make the Demoman a good character to defend / attack.
What bothers me most is the hack of the airblast.
I'm glad they reverted the change. I don't like stickies, but the sticky nerf indirectly buffed sentry nests so every single server I went on just spammed engies to win which was just plain boring.
It's like Team Fortress 2 Beta does not exist.
No, wait...

@Kilgore Trout: Mayhap a flat reduction to damage when airbursting would be the way to go? Still nerfs the effectiveness of airbursting while not reducing the speed at which you can carpet-bomb an Engie nest, or necessarily removing the ability to fight with airbursting stickies.
@Enlong: I could live without airburst stickies. If they just said "You can't detonate them until they've stuck to something" that would be fine. But the two-second thing seems like a bit much, at least based on what I heard before it was reversed.
@Enlong: I never did figure out how to detonate them in mid-air. If the nerf was just "they can't explode until they stick to something", I'd be fine with that. But instead of that they had the 2-second thing, which seems like too long to wait. (And yes, stickies are invaluable against sentries.)

@Kilgore Trout:
Well, even sans airburst stickies, a Demoman can use stickies to DEMOlish Engineer stuff by laying multi-sticky carpets. If you're detonating a cluster all at once to destroy a Sentry, it matters little if you can detonate them in the air.
I'm glad they un-nerfed the stickies. If a Demoman has no good bombs and just has grenades, then it makes no sense to call him a DEMOman. You might as well call him a Grenade Guy or something.
