@Crom Hellsgream: But as much as it might suck to be on a team with somebody who insults you every time you fuck up and die, it sucks even worse to be on that team and end up losing. So I wouldn't want to get him killed. (Well, maybe once we're guaranteed to win and it won't matter...)
@Kilgore Trout: I have learnt that in Dota, the best way to deal with an asshole is to be an asshole yourself...but with actions instead of words. There's no reason for petty trashtalking when you can just force staff the idiot into the enemy team (for example) :)
@Hyperstar96: It's not as bad as that, and if everybody was an asshole to some degree then I wouldn't enjoy playing at all. I do consider it enjoyable...usually. Because sometimes you DO end up in a game with somebody who is a real asshole and makes it no fun at all.
MOBA culture seems very harsh and butthurt-y. "If you're better than me, you don't deserve to live and I will do everything I can to ruin your experience."
@Twilightdusk: Welcome to the world of referential webcomics, which Nerf Now has been from the start, or did you think everyone just automatically understands everything TF2 related?
@Raoul9753: Unwritten yet widely accepted rule of "spoilers": In public forum, it counts as a spoiler for about 2-3 months after it happens. If you know a specific person that is catching up to that point, it is still a spoiler no matter how much time goes by, and are still a dick if you spoil it.
@GayForOberyn: Correction, he gets stabbed several times, but it is not confirmed if he is dead yet because George needs to release another freaking book already!
This isn't a good arc start, sadly. Three comics so far and the only punchline is in today's last quarter with Zeus. Too much build up, and a too expected referrence to be funny.
But don't worry, Jo, I'm sure it will get better ^_^
Anyway, sometimes you will be on a team with Zeus and you will be about to kill an enemy, but the person playing Zeus will decide to do the lightning thing and will get credit for the kill. How you react to this depends on your personality. I don't mind it, personally. Others do.
For non-Dota players: the guy in the last panel is Zeus, and his Ultimate spell is to call down lightning to hit EVERY SINGLE ENEMY PLAYER IN THE GAME. Often whenever Zeus sees an enemy with low health, he will use that spell to make sure they die before they can escape or heal. (cont.)
Wow, that arc was short, I'm sure much to the relief of everybody who didn't like it. And LOL@Zeus (explanation for non-Dota players in the next comment)
