The joke is that the game cannot be won.
Every game always ends up with ALL players losing.
Its basically a joke educational game about why nuclear war is bad.
The trick is that she said "if you lose / if you win" instead of "if you win or if I win". Both will lose, she gets a slave
Thanks for the explanation. I thought it was something about "only winning move is not to play", but I needed to know.

So if Morgan loses 'Jane will be her bitch for a week' and if Morgan wins 'Jane will be her bitch for a week'. Sounds like a win/win situation for Morgan.

Introversion's official synopsis is:
“The World's first Genocide 'em up
It's Global Thermonuclear War, and nobody wins.
But maybe - just maybe - you can lose the least.”

Oh wow, only just now do I realize Jane's haircut is supposed to resemble the TF2 Soldier's helmet.
Strange game; the only way to win is not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?

There's no win in Global Thermonuclear War. Except aliens. Nothing is more entertaining than watching an entire race ending their own lives with explosions. Unless it's parasite aliens that burst from the chest.
Also, 5.9 for Alien Isolation from IGN.Someone didn't paid them enough for the review.
Morgan is screwed. I've played games like Defcon before.
I played an old "keep the world from thermonuclear war" simulator before. I played exactly two games. In one I pissed off the Soviets, in another some Latin American country nuclearized, and the game ends when nuclear war breaks out.

Defcon has no strategy. It's real time spam attack mode.
For those wondering, Defcon is essentially a fleshed out version of the "Global Thermonuclear War" game from War Games. http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/defcon/
