It is certainly a good looking game and takes on the TF2 'class' aspect. I'm sure it will be fun to play but I'm just thinking how will it balance? Will there be a limitation of 8 v 8 or can we get 10 Tanks together? Eh, I'm still intrigued and shall purchase/free play with purchase upgrades.

Oh, and Jo, I'm kinda curious: how is engie and how she would react to this new threat?
Oh nevermind, leave her finishing her game =P

Well, Overwatch finally got me hyped over a Blizz game since the strategy Warcrafts (and well, since I've stopped playing WoW), and I really loved the art, and most of all, the way that each character gets it's own abilities and play in a "unique-esque" way in the game.
Oooh! Ya got me hyped for this one, mate! Personally looking forward to warping around the battlefield as Tracer. Also hoping we'll get to see these characters in future comics if you feel that way inclined.
On a side note, a few people think Bastion looks a bit like a Tau Crisis Battlesuit.
So you haven't looked in to the Legacy of the Void stuff yet? Well, if you like Protoss you might want to keep not looking in to it. It feels like more awesome stuff for Terran and Zerg and a consolation prize for Protoss. Really sad how little they're getting in their own expansion.
@Zacharial: I donno. Judging only by the videos, all Reaper seem to have going for him is an Ult-bomb. So his gameplay is basically "pew pew" (with a slow firing pistol of unknown damage), and once powered up shard/teleport + mash Q to win.
Maybe Reaper will be OW's version of Pyro "W+M1"?
Hmm. Not that hyped, actually.
I just don't think that highly of Blizz, and while that trailer was flashy and such I'm not convinced the actual game will resemble that in any real degree.
Maybe Blizz should just go the whole distance and make an animated series in the OW setting instead.
@Jasott: DE needs to get their jiggly UI fetish under control. No other game has triggered Simulation Sickness on just the Menus alone.
@Mags: Generic, yes. But I think they design the female characters like that because Blizzard know they will get Rule 34'd fast and it will secure sales from horny people.
@Elodin: What's wrong with Guild Wars 2? It's an awesome game with tons of awesome story and the pvp is pretty entertaining.
Phara is a female character in power armor, no breast protrusions even. Bastion Reinhard and Zenyatta are robots, but Zenyatta looks androgynous; it might be a female robot.
Blizzards probably gonna tag a tripple A price on this, why would I bother when Team Fortress 2, Archblade, and S4 League all give me the exact same thing for free?
On one hand, there are more minority women than there are white men. On the other hand, all the women have the same general body type and are conventionally attractive, while the dudes get to be space marines, dwarves, and robots. Still buying it, of course.
I'm pretty hyped about Overwatch myself. I'm trying to stay within the realm of logic (Been burned by a lot of games that I got really excited about... looking at you Guild Wars 2...)
But it's hard when everything just looks so freaking awesome.
For example the Demoman and the DemoKnight would be two different characters in Overwatch. With a thematic weapon, 2-3 "powers" , and an overtime charging "ultimate". I expect more "heroes" to be released over time to that fit the 4 "roles" in different ways. I just hope there is no "leveling".
(2/2) ok to mixed results. With it being backed by Blizzard it may meet with success. For the "History result" I do not know what bad history they have recently seeing as their latest game Hearthstone is met with REALLY good success. I think it will be Not as successful as TF2, its gonna be up there.
Heroes not Guns. Virtually every other class based team shooter out there uses Guns and Gear to change out class rolls. Overwatch is looking like you swap full "Heroes" to get new ability sets. The closest I can come is if Mass Effect 3 MP were PvP (and actually balanced).
@Jack_Murphy Brink failed due to many bugs and upgrading required solo play which was hard due to bugs, GCI was pretty much was supported by a company that wanted a quick buck and left for Infinite Crisis Moba, MNC & SMNC was pretty much a 3rd person MOBA, and Loadout was pretty much met with (1/1)

I've seen contenders come and I've seen them go. Brink, Gotham City Impostors, Loadout, Monday Night Combat twice... I wish Blizzard luck, but history is not on their side.
I just can't get hyped by anything from Blizzard. I really feel like an old grump, but everything they produce is just so incredibly shallow and has such incredibly low quality gameplay, but apparently, people really like casual games and I guess that's why they've decided to only make that.
It looks like a copy of Microvolt , except the class system ofc

Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, expansion for HeartSone, expansion for Warcraft, BLOODY BLIZZARD stop with the slavery (actually just cover it properly), AND last but not least ...
WHERE IS THE STARCRAFT LEGACY OF THE VOID COMIC?!?!
Gameplay is a lot like "Brink" and a bit like "Enemy Territory". Did not feel like TF2 at all. But there is one thing to be aware off: Due all the eye candy, colorful explosions and special FX people tend to disable lots of graphics just to get "the little edge".
