@Frost, Each to it's own then. I'm not criticizing you or anything, it's just a matter of opinion then. Since I don't have many frinds who'd play a card game irl with me, I'd rather an balanced with low grinding game than a pretty one. My preference at least, because SolForge is ugly as hell.

SolForge is very ugly, mind you, no effects and no polished UI, but it's my preference.
Well, I haven't had problems with SolForge yet, I've earned double the cards with half the time (unlike HS, you just log in daily to get cards) and have 5 legendaries with no rl money spent. But the game is Early Access yet, so it's still quite rough on the edges.
@Muertog:So far I haven't had balancing issues with SF, even legendaries like Chrogias or Iron Maiden are still manageable with common/rares, but a good strategy is required though. Plus, I have three times more cards in SF than Hearthstone with only half of time spent.

Not shown: Grinding for hours on end against a bunch of premade decks designed by more pro players and people who artificially lower their ranks to play against lower rank people.
I love Hearthstone, but the sheer amount of jackasses in it from rank 20 to like 16 gets me close to quitting.

@Ancel De Lambert: It is in human nature to enjoy rewards. It is also in human nature to be upset when the reward is a let down. One can play a game because they enjoy it and also enjoy extra rewards for doing so; the two are not mutually exclusive.
@Raxyz: That's why I still play Hearthstone, and not other online card games. It has better UI, card effects, and card voices. If an online card game doesn't catch my eye, I might as well just play card games with other players in real life.

If you play a game for the extra shit you get, you're playing for the wrong reason. Play because you like it. Do you like it Alyx? Does mamma bear like da wittle card game, does she? Who's a pretty heavy?
Pretty much what zitro said. I hate doing arena because it's long and it doesn't feel rewarding enough if I win a good amount of times, so I'm just doing it because it feels like I get a bit more out of it in terms of the extra gold or dust for the 50 extra gold paid compared to just buying packs

@Raxyz: I was in the Kickstarter for SolForge, and have been REALLY disappointed in it. Pretty much you take the worst parts of MtG balance and power creep, splash in the money costs of buying packs from MtG, and take away the ability to trade/sell.
Hearthstone has one thing going for it, shiny battle/card effects. Everything else is despicable for a card game. Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh are still the best card games out there. If you're looking for something online though, SolForge looks promising. HS is full of BS.
@RoderickBR: You use magic dust to craft cards of your choice. Different cards require different amounts of dust. If i remember correctly the costs range from 100 to 3200 dust(legendary gold card) You can also disenchant cards into dust.
@RoderickBR: Not exactly, as you can't directly exchange cards in the game, if you can disenchant your own card in order to get dust. With this dust, you can then craft specific cards, even though their cost may be high. So it's far from useless, but it means he already got all those cards.
I'll assume "magic dust" is something not usable in the game?
Sooo... if you pay money for boosters, you can literally gain nothing in return? Oook... I'll go back to TF2(and keep throwing those boxes away)...
