I'm so, so sorry for you, they are going to be pulling this kind of Carmen Sandiego shit for the rest of their lives. Its going to be like some kind of real life tower defense game.
To me, it's worth spending a little extra time in-game in stead of paying monthly fees. (minimum wage here is ~1 Euro/hr)
Of course, it all depends on your income, your ability to farm gold (more experienced players farm faster) and it also depends on the game you play.(WoW, RuneScape ...)

@A5G_Reaper: Jo said that the girls all have "real-life-in-story" jobs that are tangentially related to their TF2 origin. So Angie is probably some kind of architectural or civil engineer or mechanic or something.
It was only mentioned on Twitter, so it's not actually that obvious.

@Joshua Ray Ditty: A real job tends to pay 15$ within less than two hours, working ingame for many more hours to get a token just to skip those 15$ is inefficient in comparison.

@A5G_Reaper: A job in the real world
@Morthasa I'm a dog person myself but I still wanna see what those kitties did in comic form too. We've seen 'real Jo' in the comics before, so it's not without precedent! :)
Not sure if I get the final panel. She has a real job so she can't play the game all day so she's buying the tokens with real money to trade for in game gold?
Cats be like "YE LOKKIT AT ALL DIS FOOD!"
Protip: After opening the food package, don't let it there, find a container, tuperware, anything. It lasts longer and cats have a harder time opening it.
@Boothie: I will keep that in mind but the cats are pretty silent.

If theres anything a petowner should be listening for it is extended silences, generally means theyre getting up to something they know is not allowed.

@Eddmario: I think the starter edition have a limit on how many gold they can have. So, you will need at last spend money buying a WOW CD Key, so your account will be a veteran account, and then you can buy game time with gold whenever you want.
Better that the cats feed themselves by breaking into your kitchen than the alternative.
Which reminds me, I need to check underneath my bed some time.
Does anybody know if this new WoW feature will allow people who have the free "starter edition" of the game have all the features of the full game if they were able to get enough gold, or would they still have to have spent actual $$$ on the game first?
